Colour Film hits the road for a show in London this Saturday night. It’s a double bill with Buttonfly, a great London band I played with a few years ago, at East Village Arts Collective. Details on the CONCERTS page. Lots of new songs to air out, like so much laundry flapping in the breeze.

Cinquefoil is an exciting new music series in Hamilton. Once a month, five musical acts perform a short set based on a theme in a beautiful historic church with great acoustics.

Colour Film plays Cinquefoil on Friday March 16. The theme is “madness”, and the other acts on the bill are Kori Pop, The Acoustics, Lorena Morcone, and An Shrub. The show is at the Church of St John the Evangelist (aka The Rock on Locke – 320 Charlton Ave W). Doors at 8pm, show at 8:30. Capacity for this intimate concert is limited to 50, so get your tickets at cinquefoil.ca.

December always gets me thinking about the passage of time and the changes brought by the past year.

These thoughts led me to write a song called “The Changes” that came out on Super 8 last year. That song’s been on my mind recently, so I thought I’d make a video for it to share with you. The kids and I hopped into the farm truck, and we drove around our hometown of Hamilton with a camera taped to the driver-side window. Super high tech.

I hope that the past year has treated you well and that whatever changes may have come along have been for the better.
